For years I have tried to make coffee at home that tastes even remotely like the Starbucks coffee in the stores. My favorite was always Verona but it was rarely the coffee of the week. Since the introduction of Pikes Place blend, the coffee at the stores HAS been more consistent but it still didn't taste the same at home no matter the coffee pot (including 2 of their expensive units), tap water, filtered water, fresh ground beans, store ground beans, and on and on. Over the years I've spent a thousand dollars on coffee machines, espresso machines, bean grinders, bean storage systems, etc. in search of the elusive "it tastes the same as in the store."
FINALLY, something that works. This coffee tastes exactly like Verona at Starbucks. It is dark and rich and wonderfully nutty. Thank you Tassimo. A coffee maker that actually works.
One of the best things about the single serve nature of Tassimo T-disc coffees is that there is no worry about air tight storage of ground coffee or beans. It never goes stale.
The only negative is that this coffee doesn't save you much money over getting cups at Starbucks. Still there are advantages that can't be beat -- you don't have to drive to the store to buy a cup (important with $4 gas), you can get a cup of exactly the blend you want (Verona), and you can get it any time you want, even when the stores are closed.
Was fed up with Tassimo until Verona arrived!

The Verona brew is awesome! I was about ready to ebay my tassimo brewer until I tried this one out. It is a great single cup brew.
