The coffee maker cannot operate without this Little Piercing Unit. Thank goodness it can be replaced, and so easily with a bit of help from Amazon.

I was asked to review this item, but there really isn't much to say. This part broke on my Tassimo so it had to be replaced. The piercing unit does what it says--it punctures a whole in the Tassimo product to make your hot drink. That's really it...

not for the basic bosch

this is not for the basic Bosch - only for the Braun unit. The machines take different piercing units so just be careful when you are ordering one for your machine. I have searched Amazon.com and they don't seem to carry the one for the Bosch, only the Braun.
