Great Hot Chocolate

The key to this hot chocolate is to stir it after you have made it and to add whipped cream! If you stir the drink and add whipped cream the flavor is very European and very good. The first time I drank it I did not stir it and found the drink to be very watery. Try stirring and everything will get better.

This is a nice hot chocolate but dont forget to add the milk. I love the Tassimo machine but they only offer this one hot chocolate which is dissapointing. Although they do offer Milka Hot Chocolate in Europe for this machine and it is wonderful and i wish they offered it in the US also. I will be glad when they also offer a low fat version of hot chocolate and to enable this to happen go onto the Tassimo Web site and put in a request because the more requests they receive then they may just add this to there collection.

My kids (Boy 13 & Girl 11) like Hot Chocolate / Hot Cocoa.
They have tried Powders / Syrups, Denny's, Starbucks, etc.
They both LOVE the Suchard Hot Chocolate.
My Son Straight Up, My Daughter with some Marshmallows.
I have also used it in coffee drinks. Aka Caffe Mocha.
Adding an Espresso works pretty good.
You can also hit the brew button to end the Brewing 1/2 way through and it will empty the Contents into the Mug, Then fill up the other 1/2 of the Mug with a Smaller Serve size Crema Coffee like the Mastro Lorenza Crema... Very Good stuff.
It will make a small mess on your pierce unit, so be sure to clean up after making one.
Great hot chocolate!

My kids love this and I do too. My son, who is a chocoholic, describes this as a "liquid Hershey bar!". He likes it with marshmallows. We are not big fans of the powdered hot cocoa.
A fine chocolate for mixing coffee beverages

I'm afraid that many of the negative reviews about this product rather miss the point. They even state on the Tassimo website that these discs are best used with the addition of marshmallows or milk, but even without this information, most people would be able to figure it out for themselves.
The Suchard disc contains chocolate syrup. It has no milk, no cream, and no non-dairy creamer. When most people think of "hot chocolate," they think of a drink that's made with milk, no? Just like a latte or a cappucino requires the addition of milk. Yet for some reason the same people who think nothing of adding milk to make a cappucino can't figure out that they need to do the same to make hot chocolate. Baffling.
Use of the Suchard disc without the addition of milk or cream (either the Tassimo milk discs or regular milk) will have the same result as diluting Hershey's syrup with water. Expecting it to taste anything like Swiss Miss or similar packaged cocoas containing powdered milk is unrealistic and unfair. This product is even better used with powdered milk or non-dairy creamer, as it has a richer flavor due to less dilution that way.

OK..I received this as my freebie from Tassimo for registering my new Bosh Tassimo TAS10 machine...Here's the deal...the discs are filed with chocolate SYRUP..Your machine pumps hot WATER through the syrup so OF COURSE you are NOT going to get the creamy hot chocolate that you are used to getting from the packets or made on the stove. What I did was use a "skinny" (non-fat) milk disc FIRST...then I put in the hot chocolate syrup after the hot milk was pumped through into my cup. The finished product was a perfectly blended hot chcolate made with non-fat milk (the non-fat disc from the Gevalia Skinny Cappuccinos). You can do it my way or simply add your own milk or half & half of your choice! The point is...if you just use the syrup disc you are only going to get watery chocolate syrup! Anyway, the chocolate is tasty, would make an excellent cafe mocha and I will purchase more when I eventually run out. I took away a star only because I think they should include milk discs with it so it wouldn't be so confusing!
Pretty Good For Hot Chocolate From A Single-Serve Machine

If you want excellent hot chocolate, you still need to make it yourself and use milk and high-quality chocolate. We've tried the Keurig with various single serve hot chocolate k-cups and the Bosch TAS4511UC Tassimo Single-Serve Coffee Brewer, Silk Silver with the Gevalia Suchard T-Discs. The Tassimo version yields the best cup of chocolate.
Rather than using a chocolate powder like the Keurig version, the T-Disc uses syrup. It yields a richer, more satisfying cup. It is a bit sweet, but I like it. The main problem with the product is that it does not completely disperse in your cup. There is a fair amount of syrup at the bottom of your cup. You'll need to stir a few times to get all the syrup dissolved.
Overall, I recommend this product. In the future, I'd like to see several different versions released that are less sweet and maybe a version that combines a milk T-Disc to produce the beverage. Although not currently carried in the United States, I've been hearing good reviews of a Tassimo product using "Milka" chocolate from Germany which comes packaged with the shelf-stable milk to produce the hot chocolate.
Great-but requires goodies like Coffee

This is good hot chocolate in general-but is different tasting that u will expect compared to hershey's or swiss miss. So like coffee u may have to add a dash of something else, like a dollop of cream or marshmallow or touch of milk.

let me start by saying, i'm not a huge hot chocolate fan. But i was surprised to see so many negative reviews for this product--so that is part of why i wanted to try it. i think it's the perfect blend for a mocha.. here was my recipe (note that it's for 2 people) one latte milk pod: split it between two glasses, one hot chocolate syrup: split it between the two glasses, 1 espresso pod per glass. and voila, a great mocha!
